OSHA 10-Hour
The OSHA 10-hour outreach training for the construction industry course provides students with basic safety and health knowledge to include OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous. Upon completion of this course, a wallet card will be issued certifying that the student has completed 10 hours of OSHA training for Construction Industry
OSHA 30-Hour
The OSHA 30-hour Outreach Training for the Construction Industry course provides students with basic safety and health knowledge to include OSHA policies, procedures, and standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are most hazardous. Upon completion of this course, a wallet card will be issued certifying that the student has completed 30 hours of OSHA training for Construction Industry.
Construction Work Zone Safety For Heavy Equipment Operators
The Construction Work Zone Safety for Heavy Equipment Operators course provides safety awareness training for heavy equipment operators and those who work around heavy equipment in construction work zones. The course addresses OSHA’s top four causes of injury and death: falls, struck-by, caught-between, and electrocution.
Forklift
The Forklift Operator course utilizes OSHA guidelines to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to properly operate a forklift. In addition to safety best practices, participants receive hands-on opportunities to ensure each understands equipment-specific stability requirements, fork adjustment protocols, fueling procedures, and other use issues. Upon completion of this course, a wallet card will be issued certifying that the student has completed Forklift Operator.
Portable Fire Extinguisher
Portable fire extinguishers serve as a front-line tool for incipient stage fires. This course covers portable fire extinguisher types, classifications, and ratings. As well as selection, use, inspection, care and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
Respiratory Protection
The Respiratory Protection course covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respiratory protection program. Course topics include terminology, OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards, NIOSH certification, respiratory protection programs, and medical evaluation requirements. Program highlights include workshops on respirator selection, qualitative and quantitative fit testing, and the use of respiratory protection and support equipment. Upon course completion, students will have the ability to identify and describe the elements of a respiratory protection program, the proper selection, use, and inspection of respiratory protection, protection factors, and evaluate compliance with OSHA Standards.
Fall Protection
The Fall Protection course covers the OSHA Fall Protection Standard for construction and an overview of fall protection methods. Course topics include principles of fall protection, components and limitations of fall arrest systems, and OSHA Standards and policies regarding fall protection. Students will participate in demonstrating the inspection and use of fall protection equipment, residential construction fall protection, training requirements, and developing a fall protection program. Upon course completion, students will have the ability to assess compliance with the OSHA Fall Protection Standard, evaluate installed passive systems and fall arrest systems, and develop and implement fall protection plans.
Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics
The Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics course covers the OSHA Excavation Standard and safety and health aspects of excavation and trenching. Course topics include practical soil mechanics and its relationship to the stability of shored and unshored slopes and walls of excavations, introduction of various types of shoring (wood timbers and hydraulic), soil classification, and use of protective systems. Upon course completion, students will have the ability to assess their employer’s compliance with the OSHA Excavation Standard, determine protective systems for excavation operations, and training requirements.
